    I was a combo Level Designer and 3D Artist on this original IP for The Devhouse Agency.

LEVEL DESIGN

As a Level Designer on Summer at Catmai, I was responsible for four to six levels of the world in collaboration with the design and narrative team. References for design and setting included indie titles like A Short Hike, Stardew Valley, and Moonglow Bay, as well as larger titles like Animal Crossing and Legend of Zelda.

 

It was paramount to incorporate the history of the world into the level design as the story involved generational family lineage and the cycle of grief.  Each map experienced plenty of iterative design to improve characters, vistas, pathing, and story throughout preproduction.
